Remember to keep the Sabbath day Holy

Shabbat Shalom!

Defending the Shabbat is not something that we believers felt called to do when we believed unto Yeshua. But the world is such that everything is turned upside down. Today we definitely have to understand why it is important to keep the Shabbat. Most Christians are more then willing to count this commandment from the 10 Commandments, no longer applicable. As crazy as this sounds, the “church” today KNOWS it is breaking the Shabbat, but excuses itself regularly, and guilts other believers into assuming it is no longer relevant, WHICH day, but that we simply keep a DAY. This is not only untrue but it is an insult to Abba to deem him “out of step” with the modern age.

GENESIS 2:3 God blessed the seventh day and separated it as holy; because on that day God rested from all his work which he had created, so that it itself could produce.

EXODUS 20:8-11 “Remember the day, Shabbat, to set it apart for God. You have six days to labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Shabbat for Yehovah your God. On it, you are not to do any kind of work — not you, your son or your daughter, not your male or female slave, not your livestock, and not the foreigner staying with you inside the gates to your property. For in six days, Yehovah made heaven and earth, the sea and everything in them; but on the seventh day he rested. This is why Yehovah blessed the day, Shabbat, and separated it for himself.

DEUTERONOMY 5:12-14 ‘Observe the day of Shabbat, to set it apart as holy, as Yehovah your God ordered you to do. You have six days to labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Shabbat for Yehovah your God. On it you are not to do any kind of work — not you, your son or your daughter, not your male or female slave, not your ox, your donkey or any of your other livestock, and not the foreigner staying with you inside the gates to your property — so that your male and female servants can rest just as you do.

EZEKIEL 20;19-20 I am Yehovah your God; live by my laws, observe my rulings, and obey them, and keep my shabbats holy; and they will be a sign between me and you, so that you will know that I am Yehovah your God.”

ISAIAH 58:13-14
“If you hold back your foot on Shabbat
from pursuing your own interests on my holy day;
if you call Shabbat a delight,
Yehovah’s holy day, worth honoring;
then honor it by not doing your usual things
or pursuing your interests or speaking about them.
If you do, you will find delight in Yehovah —
I will make you ride on the heights of the land
and feed you with the heritage of your ancestor Ya‘akov,
for the mouth of Yehovah has spoken.”

The Catholic Church Changed the Sabbath

The catholic church changed the day for the Shabbat and does not deny it. As a matter of fact, because we continue to allow them to keep up the farce, the state it enforces their dominion and authority on the earth. It is equally important to understand that Protestant religions follow suit in proclaiming Sunday as the Shabbat. However wrong we understand this to be, the world does not easily change.
